Dr. Schattmann obtained her Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from McGill University. She has been living and working in Guelph since 2002 and has held positions at Homewood Health Centre, at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre, St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton, and at the Hamilton Centre for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She also co-founded the Guelph Insomnia Clinic in 2006 where she continues to practice as a psychologist.
Dr. Schattmann joined Norfolk Psychological Services in 2004. She works with adults 18 years and older. She has a particular interest and advanced training in the treatment of anxiety disorders (such as panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias and posttraumatic stress disorder), but also works with a wide range of problems, including depression, anger management, health anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, impulse control disorders (such as hair pulling, skin picking, and compulsive shoplifting), insomnia, grief, problems with self-esteem, difficulties adjusting to major life changes, and interpersonal difficulties. Dr. Schattmann practices mainly from a
